A Moonlit Adventure
I walk through the forest at night,
Cause I know there’s not a soul in sight.
I hear the wolf howl to the moon,
Cause he knows that it will be full soon.
I hear the field mice cry and run from the owl.
I know what is beyond that lightning border is a soul;
And with frightening corruption that I long to know,
I fall asleep on the shore of a pond and awake by a drinking doe.
Do You Remember?
Sis, do you remember the silly rain hat
That our mom used to make us wear?
Well, I don’t know about what you thought,
But it was more than I could bear.
It was a horrible green with a big ugly bill
That really was a disgrace;
And was so embarrassing for me to wear
That I hated to show my face.
I remember leaving the house
Having to wear that thing;
And if mom ever caught me taking it off,
Oh, what a fight it would bring.
But that was a long long time ago
And a memory from my past;
And I don’t worry about where it went,
Know why? cause you wore it last.
Her Final Wish
One day there was a little girl
Who dreamed that she could fly
Like a bird up in the air
And far into the sky
Her dream could not come true though
Because she had no wings
And so she had to sit and think
And ponder other things
She thought and thought
“What can I be”,
Then she made one final wish
She jumped into a pool one day
And turned into a fish
