Sad Thing…..

I see a sad thing earlier; Two
young girls,
Maybe around 7 or 8,
Arguing what goes on first,
Eyeliner or eyeshadow,
And how to look like the ‘girls on tv’.
Conditioning starts whilst the brain is like a sponge.
Straight from the go,
Women are taught to change their complexions
And characteristics to adhere to the
‘perfect’ image portrayed in the media.
Don’t let the media make you hate who you are.
All these celebrities are air brushed and fake.
Educate the youth
So they do not fall into the trap of self
Insecurity.
Who taught you to hate the texture
Of your hair?
Who taught you to hate the color
Of your skin?
Who taught you to hate the
Shape of your nose and the
Shape of your lips?
Who taught you to hate yourself
From the top of your head to the
Soles of your feet?
Who taught you to hate your
Own kind?
Who taught you to hate the race
That you belong to so much so
That you don’t want to be around
Each other?
