Tips to Memorizing Qur’an as a Non-Arab Speaker

Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, “Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly and precisely he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses (because he doesn’t know how to read but is trying to) then he will have twice that reward.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

Memorizing parts of Qur’an can seem like an overwhelming task for the non-Arabic speaker, especially for the newer Muslims. Learning how to pray is a lot of work as it is, and once you get that down its normal to want to take a break from more memorization. The problem is a break can turn into weeks, months, even years.
