Dear Allah,

I am writing this to get all the jumbled words and stuff floating around down on paper so to speak , inshaallah it helps clear and quite my mind.don't be sad

I am struggling and  I feel alone I try and I try to fight this depression it seems never ending like everything is all painted in shades of greys ,blacks and muted dull colors .

I can’t sleep well some nights I don’t even sleep I just lay awake and the tears slide down my face and I don’t even know why I am crying .

I have head aches daily and back pain along with hip pain and neck pain home remedies don’t seem to help and so far the doctors haven’t helped much either

boredom and depression and repeat days

I haven’t been blogging and posting as much as I have wanted to , I have been struggling with depression and boredom . I feel like I am sleep walking through my days at times each day seems to be the same as the last wake up do Fajr prayer then go back and try to sleep because it’s the butt crack of dawn and no one is awake yet but I never really get back to sleep , everyone here gets up around 930/10am is normal breakfast time breakfast is always the same bread with cream cheese and jelly served with either tea or coffee then its chore time chores are usually the same make bed pick up room change and dress children / sweep and mop /wash dishes /wash clothes depending on the day of the week . Stomach Bug and MoroccanRemedies

I have had a stomach bug for the last 3 days , it has caused cramping gas and loose stools . The first day I had it I just thought something didn’t agree with my stomach the second days I knew it was a stomach bug of some sort so I started treating it , back in USA,

I would have just reached for whatever stomach medication was in the medicine cabinet but here its not that easy the medicine cabinet and the kitchen are linked , here’s how basically here in morocco everything is home remedy unless you are gushing blood or broke a bone.

To treat stomach issues the go to is Zaatar to make it is quite simple

get zaatar (aka thyme flowers and dried leaves ) roll dried herbs between hands to crush place in pot add cup of milk and bring to boil turn off…

Moroccan coffee recipes

as salam alikum all

Below is two Moroccan coffee recipes one is a quick on the go recipe which is first , and the second is a longer more involved recipe, both taste great so enjoy!

this recipe makes 4 big cups

Take 1 quart milk place in pan bring to boil

Place in 4 cups add sugar to taste for each person

Instant coffee we use nestle coffee add to cups as much as you desire to make coffee as strong or weak as you like

stir and enjoy.

moroccan coffeeyes Moroccans like to serve their coffee in small tea sized cups, I prefer a normal sized cup so I don’t have to keep making up small cups.

3/4 cup ground coffee beans

1.5 quarts milk

sugar cubes as desired placed in a bowl
